Legal Defense Fund". On this auction I have "Two Nice Gold Nuggets", total weight is ".9 dwt.", or "1.4 grams", or "22 grains", that would make great pierced earring settings. Just take them to a jewelry shop and have pierced earring posts added. These nuggets were donated by "Bill Lamica", Big thank you goes to "Bill Lamica". I am starting the bidding at $50.00 (dollars). ( 20:14:56 SatFeb 7 2009 ) Interact Reply Quote Report To Mod Last Posts Ignore User Global Ignore Whisper When I learned my metal detector I was told to find a 1/2 gram nugget, put in a Zip-Loc or film canister and every few minutes, drop it on the ground and listen to the woo-eee sound a nugget makes. Listen closely and you'll find the ramp up is a lower tone and the drop off is quicker on a nugget than on other pieces of non-ferrous metals and way different than the iron targets). Each of these is the perfect size for nugget air-tests and ground tests up to 6-8 inches. They would be beautiful made into jewelery as long as the recipient doesn't mind you borrowing one from time to time. Bid away, these are very pretty nuggets, nearly a match with excellent natural color and luster! Bill
