Dredging is banned in California. A highbanker/dredge combo would come under the ban.

A conventional highbanker is just fine. The dredging videos you see were taken before the ban.

jardstrom maybe you are thinking of the new method of 'Underwater Suction Mining', just get rid of your sluice-box.

If you leave off the dredge part no.
If you do the dredge part AND are farther than 300' from a closed water way than also no. Of course this is in CA only

We're staying frosty this year to get the best we can. We have our OR stuff in hand and have a gravel system too.

You can find the OR info here http://www.goldgold.com/suction-dredging-opportunities-on-the-rogue-river.html
