Human trafficking on Alaskan mining claims??? They seriously couldn't come up with any better crap than that?
I think the burning question is Why DOES the EPA even have a SWAT team and if they abuse their authority as shown, they should be disbanded!

You're right Tom,
The EPA today continues to evolve into a them versus us federal agency. Them who advance toward the idealistic environmental protectionism are the sypathisers of the root cause of communism. They have never before been more blatant in their actions. They intend to defeat us without firing a shot. Anybody who thinks I'm wrong, first ask yourself one small question. "What's the opposite of freedom?" |

Rod,
I have seriously been considering your question..."What's the opposite of freedom? There are many words that describe non-freedom...Serfdom, subjugation, tyranny, totalitarianism, you can look it up in a thesaurus. I think the mere existence of a SWAT team implies the willingness to "fire shots" in order to achieve total control.

Agreed,
Fire shots by whose orders? Not the miners, they're too busy earning their keep, being miners. The governments intimidation by a show of leathal force was wrong. They decided to make a ststement. An evil, dirty rotten and mean statement which was not called for. Why? Control. Miners don't easily relenquish control over their freedom to be miners. We're a crusty and somewhat ornery breed of person. We miners have always been here. The government of today is new and in hot pursuit of change, even if wrong. I think it's about the term "mine". We're losing property rights on all fronts in America. Everyday, we read about somebody being absorbed by the government. Property rights are valuable. When the government absconds off with a person's property rights, 2 things immediately are changed. "Mine" is dissolved and then replaced with "ours" To declare an item as mine is the ultimate freedom. It's far superior to borrowing the item from the government. |

We must harness that onery attitude as it is the rough and Grit t th at settled the west and is apart of the Pioneering Spirit. We cannot allow enviro fascists and an over bearing, over reaching, mismnaged, over projected, underfunded, fiat based, constitutional bending, right diminishing government to continue to erode our future and our past.
Fight on, dig on, and "Never Give Up" ...words I relayed to Grasshopper early this season on a personal phone call as he was questioning in fear of his 5inch dredge and his decision to move into God's country as a miner after he was unrighteously laid off career position. He didn't give up...ended up stickin with it...dredged all season next to Mash all season. Let's not give up. |
