Introduction to "underwater blow mining!" ( 10:24:41 SunFeb 16 2014 )

It is quite easy to rig a blowing hose and blow-nozzle from a small pump to facilitate the excavation of hard-pack on the bottom of a stream, or push small amounts of material out of the way. There is even a way to push (blow) material through a hose to a recovery system without using any suction system on the bottom. All this, while breathing underwater on a hookah system.

I'm all set up, equipment-wise, for the blow mining process. I read through the newsletter looking for information on the "push through a hose to a recovery system" process but couldn't find anything.
So, I'm sort of scratching my head to figure this one out.
Has anyone actually tried this? How, exactly, does this method work? Any photos of the equipment used?

Yeah; we put the system through trials last August and September, and then passed one of the prototypes off to some members who were looking for an alternative to underwater gravel transfer.
