Notice of Intent ( 02:55:20 FriMay 15 2009 )

howdy all, i safely got my gear from alaska...it was snowing, 20 degrees i had a blow out on eagle summit, and the creek is 12 feet thick in ice. i will be happy to be in california soon. it will be my forst time in california prospecting.. what should i put in my npotice of intent i will be dredging crevicing and highbanking.. i wiill also need to know the time fram for the dredgeing permits...
im dredging in the klammath national forrest but not on wild and scenic rivers.. i do have claims on the salmon that are wild and scenic.. do i need to file 1 noptice of intent for all my claims or 1 each for ech claim i will be working on? also, how long before i dredge do i file the dredging permit?

Kid, no notice of intent is required. In fact, if you file one you will be working against everything miners fought so hard for.

The courts said that no notice of intent is required unless you are making a significant surface disturbance. A significant surface disturbance was defined as: Cutting Trees and/or using heavy equipment. The court also said that the miner makes the determination about if he needs to file an NOI, not the Forest Service.

You must have a dredge permit in hand before you put it in the water.

thanks.. so, if all I want to do is dredge, I do not need a notice of intent... the main claim I will work is not wild and scenic but I do have one on the southfork of the salmon that is wild and scenic..... what if i am gonna be camping on my claims,...?

you need to go up to the top and put in "search" your questions. They have already been answered many times on here.
Also, you may want to take a look at the legal pages here and see the legal decisions that have been won for you. That is one of them.
