Looking at the statistics of weather conditons for storm events along the Kalamath river our weather pattern this year is starting to match up with 97 98. Usually the grounds well above the river is not warm enough for the snow to stick at this time of year. Right now everything is frozen rock solid even Elk Creek is partially frozen. If all that water holds above river starting this early in the season and we get substanial snow this winter than when the spring thaw comes all of that snow pack melts causing the side creeks to flood. I personally witnessed it this spring although on a smaller scale.. One creek that I watch rose 2 feet with just the normal thaw. This could mean some good dredging for 2011 when hopefully we will be allowed to dredge!!!

Yeah, "IF" we can dredge...If not it would be just another tease like the price of gold going through the roof. I'll keep my fingers crossed though!
