The State of Jefferson - Huell Howser ( 21:53:39 WedJan 23 2008 )

I finally got my State of Jefferson DVD that I ordered from Huell Howser and found it entertaining because of the simple discoveries he made along the way, with the final destination being Happy Camp. He starts out in Yreka and ends with our own Montine standing in front the BigFoot statue just up the road from Dave's New 49ers building.
I always wondered about that cow that is along Highway 5 as you are going north. (It's the welded cow that stands out in the middle of field on your right before you get to HWY 96) The truckers have knicknamed it Moodonna and it is kind of a land mark for them as they drive by. They showed a picture of some calves trying to suckle from the udder on this metal cow but I have always thought cows were operating in a state of confusion.
Speaking about confusion, Huell stopped and had a conversation with one of our friends and she described why all the dams should come down. No, she did not say anything about the 70,000 people who will be affected by the loss of electrical power or flood control, but she seemed nice.
The way Huell talked, and he did have a conversation with Dave Mac as Dave was guiding a group of people on their gold dredging adventure, that Happy Camp may be the next center of the world of commerce and industry. It already is a great place, all kidding aside, to spend a vacation and to clear the mind of stress of city life. I agree with Huell that Happy Camp is a great place to visit, but you do not have to believe me, just check out Montine's smile.
