Quad Maint. ( 16:41:08 ThuMar 6 2008 )

I am new to riging a quad and would like to know what type of maint. tools I should have to ride the mts of HC. My quad is new so I would think that the tires would be the week link. I would like to get what I need be fore I move there.

I would not invest a lot of money in extras before you actually experience quad ownership and the area you plan to ride. A small cheep metric tool kit will do almost everything the average person is capable of doing on late model quads. Much more important is basic safety gear and survival equipment should you get lost or broke down. Medford Or is 110 miles away and they have several large quad dealers that are pretty well stocked with all the special goodies should you need them.

I would like to say that after camping up at Ten Mile Bridge on Elk Creek, that the only two things I need for my quad were a can of foam of fix a flat and a twelve volt compressor. I drove with my fifth wheel and atv on the back over some crazy pass from happy camp S.W. to forks of the salmon and to etna and finally to yreka to get a tire fixed and the stretch between H.C. and somes bar was crazy, I mean crazy, with a 32 foot fifth wheel and an atv on the back it was crazy, especially in the dark with burning logs falling on the road.
