Does anybody have any experience with pulse induction underwater handheld detectors? If so, any luck?

I have used the JW Fishers units in salt water and they work great for locating metals and coins. I have never used any for gold but have heard from several people that have tried the Minelab unit and gave up. It seems about all you can expect one to do is locate areas of concentrated minerals or metal. If you were lucky enough to pass over a large nugget it would sound off. However in most cases our nuggets are of the smaller size and the combination of the environment and depth limitations of the units would not make them productive for underwater nugget shooting.
