Free Unknow Big Highbanking Paystreak 2 mins away from 49ers shop ( 04:48:03 ThuMar 20 2008 )

Greetings everyone
This Is Pascal (fortier) aka frenchie

While looking back to some pictures I taken I remembered that I found (I am probably not the first one but lets say in the last 20 years or even back to the 1930 or 1800'S it hasn't been touch)

A big nice easy highbanking paystreak and you know what? It is a walk away from Happy Camp.

I was telling myselft with the influx of people that will go and enjoy this hobby this summer why not drop one of my secret!

You will need some sampling before setting your equipment, but because it is bellow happy camp there is Iron stain everywhere. So you should be able to see a possible gold line with just yours eyes, I spot a few flakes on the rocks.

I ask to people that would like to go there, because it is near the town to have the quiet motor possible, if it make to much noise quit it. We need to keep peace with the neighbors.

Ok So it is on K-22 CURLY JACK, CHAMBERS FLAT AND LOWER CANYON CLAIMS

The first Big bank or bench upstream from curly jack, on the elk creek side of the road. Go at http://www.goldgold.com/claims/k22.html and it is the bank on the top of the claim. Not the one by indian creek the one with the rapids. Dont go swim the rapids unless you are in yours 20's if you understand what I mean. I was dredging in the middle of those rapids with a 100 pounds of lead and I was berely able to keep in place, One good thing lift the rock 2 inches up and ITS GONE 20 30 FEETS BELOW YOU.

You should start at the begining of the bank upstream to find the rigth line. There is a trail near the first house of the curly jack road, where there is a water tunnel under the road. Make some noise last year there was bears near by, but I never had problems they are friendly. Couples of deers.

Make a couple of samples, follow the iron stains, you should get something good. I was dredging Below, Above and in the rapids no hard pack at all, plenty of rusty or orange globs of clay, just play loose materials everywhere, But it was full of Flood gold everywhere, flakes everywhere, I had a 10$ flake I shown to Rusty (its lost somewhere in my car) I will vac-mack my car

I dont suggest anyone to try dredging, but there is gold in the river. I did sample it for a week and found nothing that interest me, but that does not mean there is nothing.
If Dave Mack want to tell you about the history of this Claim, have a look at the link I gave you, why would there be so much dredges at this place on a 20 year old looking pictures, and 97 and 2001 floods have pass by? I am not saying anything more. Go informations mining my friends.

It was in the end of september
Water was cold, camp was cold, visibility was down (lost hammer and pry bar over there) And most important of all I had a week before I needed to rush back to Canada, end of 6 months visa.

There should be something really good on this bank, probably as good as k-15. I mean there was flood gold everywhere in plain loose materials!

There is the curly Jack campground with toilets near by, shower in town (2min drive from there, or 2 min drive from 49er store) Ok lets say the gold is about 1and 3/4 of a minute from the 49er store.

Please by carefull, be clean, fill your holes. Also there is cameras near by for the forest service (found out that after a week of undressing to put my wetsuit)

If you find something good, please share it, dont claim it, I mean I gave it for free, please share. If you wish, give a little something to the 49ers funds for the legal action.

Where can you find good gold next to the hotel/camping grocery, showers and prospecting shop?
