My wife and I considered buying the Trommel this last spring and went to the Michigan GPAA outing to see it in operation before purchasing it.

Two things in our opinion went against the purchase. (One)It took too many people to operate it, at least at that time, we understand he has made several changes to it's design to clear up those problems.
(Two)It's weight, my wife and I are in our sixties and it's all stainless steel contruction made it difficult for us to move it around and set up.

In it's favor was the stainless steel construction, as with any thing this gentleman builds it is built like a Sherman Tank, made of the best materials and workmanship.
It did a very good job of separating materials especially breaking up the clay materials which we felt was what made this unit worth owning. Any highbanker will separate sand and rock but clay is where the trommel shines.

We did purchase his HB17 Highbanker as we used to own
his HB14 Highbanker which you just couldn't hurt in operation but liked the HB17 because it was lighter to use. As with all his equipment it is made to do a excellent job and last no matter the work load.
