The New 49'ers :: Members Forum :: New BLM Claims in Oregon on line

Our new creek claims on BLM land along the South Umpqua drainage are now on line. You will notice that the map has been updated, and the creek claim links are now working on the main South Umpqua page.

We are sorry the images are not better (yet). All I can say is that Mark and Terri Chestnut drove to Oregon all the way from Apache Junction, Arizona in March; and the weather moved in and nearly closed them out. As it was, they had to overcome a lot to get the information that we just put on line. It is a good start.

We will be up there early next week to post signs and get some new images for the Claims Guide.

Mark also invested quite a lot of work into a Google Earth KMZ program that is really helpful as long as you can figure out how to work it. Amazing how modern technology is changing the way we look at things!
