Hi folks,
My wife and I are selling our membership in R-Ranch. For those unfamiliar, it is a full share ownership in a vaction type ranch in northern California. The property is located in the small town of Hornbrook, just a short way from the the UK claims along I5. You are accually deeded an ownership share in a ranch of 5,119 acres along the Klamath River. On the property are 2 campgrounds totalling 350 sites with everything from tent camping to RVs with full hookups, a 54 room bunkhouse and even individual small cabins. All free with membership. There are 2 swimming pools, great salmon & steelhead fishing, hunting, horse stables with riding horses and quad or motorcycle riding trails. The youth center for children is really popular with kids. In it are pool tables, video games, arcade machines and their own swimming pool. This is a really neat place. You can even store your RV or trailer there over the winter at no charge. The close proximity to the New49er claims could be a great way set up a base of operation with total security for when your on the river. The current price for a membership is $4200.00, we are selling ours for $3000.00 . Below is a web address for the Ranch for a look see. www.r-ranch.org/ Thanks, Mike O'Connell (redwood)

R-Ranch..... Is this a time share property?
If so, what would be the monthly/annual maintance fees? Are there any time restraints as of lenght of stay per year? Thanks, Bob |

Hi Bob,
I never did get to meet you last year. Maybe this year at the cafe? Anyway, yes there is a $512.00 annual assessment fee. There is no restriction on how often you can come and camp. The only restiction is not to have a permanent residence there. They accomplish this by limiting you to a stay of 219 consecutive days. You must then leave for I believe 2 weeks and can then return. The bunkhouse and cabins are a 2 week stay, leave for a few days and can then return for another stay. Visit their web site also. It's pretty good at showing more of the various things to do. Just type in R-Ranch on your search engine and look at the one for Hornbrook. Thanks Bob, Mike O.

Jim.. I didn't mean the whole river I meant the spot the ranch ownes, I had called them to see if the members could dredge the river that they have claim on as private and the said "to many people and that dredging would be disruptive".. so just panning .
They were real nice POP

The R-Ranch campground on the Klamath River is above where the gold is. The campground off of I-5 has Cottonwood Creek running through it and has gold.
