Hey all I'm making my own dredge this year (to start) and I need a couple things (new or used either or).
- Float and frame system for 5" dredge - 5" Flare Jet & Keene Triple Sluice box system (with or without bang box attatched) I don't need an Engine, Pump, hoses, nozzle, air or anything like that, just these, I'll work out the others when there is time for them. A resonable price for each of these would be nice, and if you do have them, please email pictures of them so I can check them out, and if I can get a weekend off, I'd come to pick them up. States I'd pickup from California (south of Sacramento), Nevada (south of Reno), Arizona, otherwise I'll use the shipping method (if its worth it). I can pay by several means: Cash, Money Order, Cashiers Check or Paypal. my email address is: livinglavivarv@yahoo.com . I'll need them until I post here again saying I don't need them anymore. thanx- -GMD#608 |

Sounds like you are not "making" your own dredge, but assembling one from parts.?
If so, I would recommend that you look at complete, used dredges. I bet you could get one almost as cheap as trying to buy parts and put one together....... I built my 4" (actually built) and I could only beat the price of a used one by about $300-$400. And that did not account for my labor. Just a suggestion. |

Actually I am building one custom. I just need some conventional parts "as seen on other dredges". I am not using: an internal combustion engine, conventional air pump system, conventional water pumping system, a venturi jet type tube for pumping rock through.
This will be as amazing to watch as it will be to run and will be almost completely silent (for those who do not like the noise of air cooled motors). I and some of my collegues are designing it and will soon be ready to build a prototype for our use (not planning to go into product just yet). -GMD#608 |

sounds interesting indeed. Wish I was involved, I love to tinker with things. I personally came up with a way to mount hydrostatic jigs to dredges while working for Mac, nobody had ever been able to deal with all the water. keene sold a bunch of units to be used in diamond mining, but I never got a thang. Some solutions can be so easy. Good luck! Mark

Still looking for parts. I did however pick some turbine engine plans this week, for the new setup. Please anyone let me know if you have whatever I requested in the first part of this thread. I'm still looking for parts.
-GMD #608 PS I just ordered my personalized license plates for my Blazer "MYN GOLD" I'll post a pic of it when I get them from CA DMV! |

Okay, I haven't gotten the plates yet, but It won't be til Late Sept or Oct anyway. I still want parts, new, used, junked, etc. But now my boss says he wants to join the New 49ers and the company is going to buy a 6". I guess the 5 will be mine. PLEASE ANYONE, I need parts and I don't ness want to go to keene, but if summer gets too close, I'll have to. I just got the "Experimental Plans" a couple weeks ago, now just need to learn how to use the Mill and CNC.

Thanks to all those who replied to this ad. I just want to say thanx, and with all the options we've looked at, we'll be getting a new dredge soon.

Just saw this, I have a older Keene 5" Triple Sluice for sale. It's in good shape no cracks in the header box.
email kb7kuh@yahoo.com if interested. I'm in Oregon on the coast near Newport. Don |
