FIVE CONTIGUOUS MINING CLAIMS FOR SALE on gold rich North Fork below Sawyers Bar afford a unique opportunity for dredging, panning, high banking, and perhaps a backhoe operation with U.S. Forest Service permits. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to purchase large tract on the Salmon River.
There is shallow bedrock for beginning dredgers and also more difficult access bedrock for the more advanced dredger. The large gravel bar would easily accommodate club type activities. Two claims have virgin banks that contain hand-dug shafts and tunnels, which produced 1/3 and 2/3 oz. nuggets as, told to me by a Russian miner who worked there in the thirties and forties with his partner. Access to the river is quite easy and there are two excellent camping areas for use with camp trailers or motor homes. The adjoining downriver claim has produced numerous ½ to 1 oz. nuggets for its owners. These claims have been under my ownership for approximately 34 years and I can account for almost all of the dredging activity during those years. My best estimate is that suction dredgers have worked about 15 to 20% of the claims; one claim has only had a 4x12 ft. area worked! The easiest claim to dredge claim has never been dredged! The reason for my selling is that at 68 years of age I’m about to retire from my lifelong passion. Besides, I own other claims and private property that I prefer to work, should I desire to do so. My asking price is $50,000. But I may be open to a partial trade for a Jeep Rubicon, Polaris Razor or Backhoe, etc.. To contact me phone after 9PM CA time at (530) 462-4703 or leave a message at (530) 467-3264. Herbert Duerr |
