Attention Seeker!
We took Sasha into Elgin shopping with us for the first time today. It's something we have considered, and then reconsidered pretty quickly knowing how excited she can get!

Anyway, we couldn't believe the amount of people that stopped and stared at her - it was amazing! Some people looked confused, others looked intrigued and others just pointed and smiled! It was interesting hearing their comments as they passed - one woman said - and look its even got a tail!! I dont know if it was because her tail was brindle, because it's docked so it's not that obvious!!

A couple of people came up and gave her huge fusses, but I am pleased to announce not one person asked me if she was albino or had health problems - hurrah!! There was a lovely couple who had had a white and they just melted when they saw her.

Definitely have to take her again - she just loved the attention, personally I felt I was walking down the street naked with all the looks we were getting!!!

We have been through Elgin many times, my folks have a ststic caravan in Fachabers. I do the shops, and Daz stands outside with his skin dad. Daz gets a lot of attention! The derogatory remarks might be quite subdued 'cause the skin dad is a very imposing figure. Over all, Daz goes down very well in Elgin. We have not seen another Boxer in Elgin though.

You'll have to keep an eye out then! Sasha's sister Cassie is often in Elgin and I think we may take her a bit more now!

There are loads of boxers around here, Lossie has at least 20 I think - common as muck! I have seen another white one in Elgin, but Sasha is the only one in Lossie.

I will keep an eye out for you in the future!

We take our 3 down into the town in the summer, we get stopped by tourists all the time, we even had an eldery couple shout from the bridge to wait for them so they could see my 3, i love it.
Rocky gets lots of attention, there is at least 4 white boxers in peebles, several reds and Clyde is the only reverse brindle.
Boxers are very popular here.

Re: Attention Seeker!
We have never risked taking ours into a town centre.
Tia gets spooked by loud noises and Kirei would just want to slobber over absolutely everyone.

But when we take them down by the river at the back of our house in the summer (there is no-one around in the winter) they get so much attention. It is only a five minute walk to the field but can sometimes take half an hour as they get stopped by so many people wanting to stroke them - especially children which i found quite surprising at first as they are quite big dogs ( I was terrified of big dogs when i was younger).

Maybe it is because there are not many boxers around here, it is actually very rare to bump into another one. I haven't seen another one for months around where i live.

There are so many staffs around here, nearly every other dog you see is a staff ( I don't like them because so many people i know use them as a status symbol).

I think boxers deserve every bit of attention they get - but then i am biased!!!

Caroline, Tia, Kirei and little henry xxxx

Its quite funny, when I was only walking Blue people tended to body swerve me. He is quite a big boy. But when were in the hills everyone talks!
Now when we go out with Blue and Sasha, just locally everyone talks! You can here them saying Look two, then they will come over and ask do they bite?
The kids in the street shout on us to hold on and make a big fuss of them!

Re: Attention Seeker!
I quite often take Sasha up to the school playground to pick up "her" children. Most of the children want to come and stroke and play with Sasha, which she loves of course! I always get the "does she bite" question, which I suppose is common for all dogs except labs, but I just answer "no, but she may lick you to death".

I find she is getting very good about not jumping up at children although she still thinks adults are fair game!!

Blue and Sasha out together must look great! I would love another white, just for the way they would look together!

Re: Attention Seeker!
Sasha met her brother today - a brindle boy called Oscar! Rob was walking her in the woods and a couple asked him where we got her from.

Turned out they recognised her from the litter as they remembered her tail (its the only brindle part on her) - how weird is that! They even said they saw her in town yesterday but didn't have time to ask if it was her.

How weird that they should see her two days running - such a small world really!
