Sasha's going back to the vet
Hi everyone
Sasha is booked into the vet tonight at 5.30.

things arn't looking too great for her. She didn't eat yesterday and hasn't touched her food or water today.
She is not her normal self. She has been on painkillers since Friday but they dont seem to be helping her.
Will let you all know how she gets on.

Well the news is

Sasha has an eye infection and an upset tummy. The vet thinks it's the painkillers that have upset her.
She has eye ointment, been put on a prescription diet for a few days to help her tum and more antibiotics.
I have not to give her any painkillers but to phone on Friday and let the vet know how she's doing. Then she'll put her on other ones.
She agree's with me that Sasha is in pain from her jaw but doesn't want to focus too strongly on that at the moment. She said because we know she has cancer there it's obvious that were going to think thats what it is!
She did warn me that this could be the start of the slippery sloap as she put it.
She's going to keep an eye on her.
Ive been out my mind with worry, and just to put the iceing on the cake my daughter is ill just now too:smash6:.

Well I know its not good news, but at least it's not the worse news you were expecting?

It may be that once these new tablets sort all the other areas out that she may feel more like herself again. The vet sounds really on the ball there - good on her!!

Poor Celidiah, hope she feels a lot better soon - it so horrible when the wee ones are poorly.

Well I think the wee one is getting chicken pox:sad: and poor sasha is going back to the vet on Mon. She has spent all weekend either under the kitchen table or the bed. Not too happy with that.

We have chickenpox going around here just now - the only one who hasn't had it is Natalie. I am sure she will get it in about two weeks time while her Dad is away down South!!

Sorry to hear Sasha isn't any happier. Hope the vet can put your mind at peace :loveya:

I'm not on for long but you have all given both me and Sasha such support I wanted you all to know that sadly my lovely wee girl had to be put to sleep tonight. It was the last act of love I could do for her.

Jacquie, I am so sorry about your news. In the short time we have 'known' Sasha she has made such an impression on us all, our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very sad time. At least you know Sasha's last months have been very happy and loved ones.

Jacquie you gave her the love and care she needed for the length of time she needed it for.

I am glad Sasha found her way in to your home and your heart, because I KNOW that the last months of her life were probably the happiest she had had. She had the safety and security of knowing you all loved her and she had the best playmates possible with Blue and Celidiah.

You know she is safe and well at the end of that rainbow now and she will never be alone or in pain again.

Oh Jacqui I am so sorry to hear that Sasha has passed on. It is so hard to let them go. :sad: I know the feeling oh so well - she couldnt have had a better home and was so much loved by you all.

Hi Jacquie

So sorry to hear about Sasha. I can only imagine how hard a decision it was for you, ultimately Sasha had the best possible care from a truly devoted owner / family and lots of love.

How fitting that her picture is used on all the boxer welfare clothing, what better way to remember her!!!

I know it is difficult now but I am sure that you will always look back with fondness and no doubt have many an hilarious tale to tell of when Sasha was at her best acting the boxer clown.

Lots of love from us all and hope to catch up soon.

I do think that would be a lovely idea Paul. Sasha's story epitomized everything that is wrong and good with dog owners. I am sure plenty of us on here would buy something with Sasha's image, and what a lovely way to celebrate her life.
