We have the pleasure (?) of dog sitting a friends Lab for a week or so while they are in Spain. The problem is everytime I go near the other dog Snoop jumps in front of us and bounces everywhere. He is not nasty, he just licks Rolo all over the face, humps him, puts his paws all over his face. I was sitting on the sofa earlier and I had Snoop sitting on my chest because Rolo was looking at me! Any ideas how to get him to realise he is my number one baby??? Thanks. Katie. |

I would just ignore the behaviour and not give him any attention while he is doing it. If he comes up on your lap because the other dog is looking at you, then stand up and walk away. He is "claiming" you as his, not trying to be your baby. He is telling the other dog that you are his property, so you need to show him that you aren't. As long as he isn't being nasty, then I would just ignore the behaviour - if he does it, just walk away. Good luck |
