Rosie has arthritis in her hips and spine. She gets Glucosamine everyday. Morning and evening. As a general rule you give adult dogs half the dose of what a adult human would have. Firstly though I think you should visit the vet and see what he says about her leg. Arthritis is a very bad pain [I speak from experience] and is hard to live with so I can understand if Lili is grumpy when one of the children hurt her. I hope you get it sorted out for everyones sake but firstly before you do anything you need to sort out an area where Lili can go to be away from the children for both her own sake and theirs - at least until you have been to the vet and see what the situation is with her leg. she gets told almost daily that she cannot hang on lilly the same way she does chili and that lilly has a booboo when she hangs on her it hurts her and she will bite her if she gets hurt. we do have a crate for lilly, well, they share crates...we have 1 downstairs and 1 upstairs for when we sleep, the other is usually if im feeding abigail or doing something i cant keep my eye on chili....but lilly gets put in there too at times. i emailed our trainer so hopefully she has some advice tom will listen to. |
