Annual dog show
The time of year is near for the local hospital fête which includes a fun dog show which gix usually shows me up in some way!! Our obedience class is doing a display again and gix has been picked for the team. I'm a bit concerned after his last appearance. Some of you might remember him diving past me and prancing around infront of the audience while I stood in the display ring panicking lol. Everyone is assuring me he is older now and will behave they are not boxer owners and don't know what they are like when there's an audience involved. Wish me luck - rehearsals start tomorrow and it's on 7 th august - I'll let you know what happens :luck:

Well first practise we discovered it is allegedly supposed to be in the style of a barn dance!! The dogs did alright but as for the humans! It took us enough to work out who was group 1 or group 2 lol It was like being back at school "hands up if you are in group 1 ...."

WEll I have to eat my words now - GIxer was great although at one point in the heel work bit of the display he realised everyone was watching so he did his yo-yo impression!! apart from that he did his sit stay and everything - I am a proud mummy!
The fun dog show ws not as good he got a 3rd place in "most appealing expression" even though he did his ears pricked head tilted pose,. The judge was elderly and seemed to like all the small fluffy dogs Gix and my frien who's got a staffy were laughing when it came to "best condition" as she didn't really want to look in their ears and definitely not their mouths lol and they were probvably the softest 2 dogs there. All went without a hitch despite the rain and a pug with an attitude problem who had it in for GIxer!!

glad it went great! gix should have gotten 1st for best expression!!!!! ok and best everything else too!!! hes such a cutie pie and i love all his antics.

i think its funny a pug had it in for him...thats a snack! we call small dogs, pugs, chiuauas..which there are ALOOOOT of those lil rat dogs out here, to us they are snacks! cuz 1 bit, n well u know how it ends lmao
