...don't it make my white boxer brown...
:rain:
My pups have transformed the formerly grass-covered back yard to a dirt pit! What's more, it's a powdery, dusty dirt pit that keeps their coats a lovely shade of brown.

When I hose them dowm in the tub they head straight back out doors, out of the white and into the brown. :waa:

So it's the yard I need to tackle. I'm wondering, come spring, how to remedy this situation.

Any thoughts?

Frances

Lock the back door!!!!!!!!

Seriously though, it's an on going battle for all whites!! Sasha has a terrible neck at the moment - it's all black from mud and her mouth is red from her food and the soil in the woods!

I am no help at all, but I know some whites stay clean on here!! Goodness knows how!:dunno:

THey only stay clean by not going out!! Gixer had a funny coloured neck at the minute - it looks like grass but I don't know how as he's turned my garden into a dirt track too. I think it just comes with having a Boxer I'm afraid!

could always shove em in the washing machine at a 40 degree wash lol...... or put down chips in the garden, so that they will only get dirty when they r out on a walk. Am so glad Heidi cant get out yet, but dredding like mad when she does, very muddy up the woods and as i will be down at the horse a lot.... shame u cant bleech the dogs with ur socks at the end of the day lol.

I'm forever sticking my 2 under the hose pipe:sad:sad:which they aint too happy about), they get really muddy up with the horses, if it's really cold I put their coats on, that way only the feet, legs and belly get dirty. Buster was a saviour as he would always jump into the water trough no matter how cold it was, he loved water.
If we're out on a walk, we try and come home past the river, so we can get them in for a quick wash.
When we get home they always lick themselves clean, which is great, Ray even helps Mille` which is very sweet to watch
I'm quite glad they're white, just think all those dogs who are dark, you wouldn't be able to see the dirt, and end up with it all over your house, at least with the whites you can see where the dirt is and get rid of it....
We've gravelled our front garden...so no problems with the mud, we don't let them out into the back garden in the winter, cos they'll churn up the lawn, have thought about astro turf, but way too exspensive.:nonono:
If this rain continues, I may deck and gravel the back garden too.....

Scottbi and his mate luka (a boxer bitch) ruined my back garden about 3 weeks ago they garden was a lovely grassed (slighty boggy) garden but now....

it is a mud pit!!

and the pup and luka were black. but with no hose i had to just rub them down! and they loved wiping their paws on my cream (now brown) carpets before i got chance to close the door!

Best thing to do is pave your back, costly but it works, well to some degree. Think white dogs will always find a "dirt" patch!!
