Tonight we had a Band competition in the village. There must have been 50 + bands from all over. I saw them from England, Scotland [think it said Glasgow on the banner] and one said Kilarney. They go up past the house so we do get a good advantage point of watching them. However poor Katie was so worried and upset with the noise that she wet herself. I had to get her up onto my knee [shes a big girl to nurse now] for lots of cuddles and reassurance. Rosie didnt appear to be too worried except for the occasional bark. Guess who will have two Boxers on the end of their bed tonight!! :wtf: Helen |

I live opposite an RAF camp and we have GR4 tornadoes that take off and fly very low over the house. When we first got Sasha she spent her time charging back in the house all scared, but now doesnt even bat an eyelid. She was also scared of the gunfire that went off when they were on the range, but I just used to stand next to her, stroke her and say it was ok and now I dont even think she hears it??!! Hope Katie is ok today |

Yep they are fine. Both flat out at the moment. I was out for a meal today and came back and had a white snowball launch itself at me and I mean launch herself. I will have to train that girl to have better manners! I may be solid but she can could still knock me down. Its 30c inside the house this evening - hate this strong heat. Rosie's feet were like balloons so had to wash them in a weak solution of epi-soothe to bring them down. Once dry I will apply mink oil. How are you all coping in the heat? Helen |

Only kidding, it has been pretty warm here lately but not nearly approaching 30 deg, more like a nice comfy 26!! Sasha seems fine although we took her to the beach today to cool off. Of course she drank half the Moray Firth, refused to come in past her ankles and generally acted like a complete nut with her stick (god knows how she manages to find a stick on a 3 mile long sandy beach!!) She got covered in sand after falling off a sand dune (dont ask) so we ended her day on a complete low by hosing her down in the garden. She then hid under the garden bench until the offending article had been safely tucked up in the garage and refused to talk to me all night (until she wanted to come up on the sofa of course!) Other than that, I don't think the heat bothers her - it's keeping her out of the sun that bothers me! My last girl had far more sense, she stayed in and sat in front of the fan! |

He was outside earlier with Mad and her friends having a water fight, but I'm not sure whether he was better or worse afterwards. I'll water the garden in a bit, he'll love that ![]() |
