In my opinion it is not true. They are a "normal" Boxer and have the same traits - good, bad and fun!! Gixer is all white - just a few freckles of red but he is soooo strong, yes he has a few allergies but my others did to. Gixer as just been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy but it is NOT because he is white it IS because he is a Boxer and it is somethin they are prone to. Sorry to sound "on my soapbox" but it annoys when people are told these thingsI can't stress enough they are a "normal" Boxer. If I had a £1 for every time someone said "is he deaf", "ooh White Boxers are very rare aren't they" or "aren't white Boxers really mad" I would be a millionaire. Itry and put them straight but they won't listen. To us a boxer is a boxer white, red or brindle they are oodles of fun and hard work but it is all worth it in teh end - just read on here.
