Playtex Moonwalk - next Saturday
Hi everyone

I am taking part in the playtex Moonwalk in London next Saturday night.

For those of you that don't know what it is - its a 26.2 mile powerwalk through central London starting at midnight next Saturday (19th May). 15,000 women and 1,000 men will walk through the streets of London throughout the night in their bras - the men too!!! to raise money and awareness for breast cancer research.

I took part in this event last year and really enjoyed it although i did struggle with the last few miles due to rather large blisters but i made it to the finish line and got my medal.

I have not done anywhere near as much training as i should have done this year and to start with i was hoping to finish in a good time - now i will just be happy to finish at all:ohwell: Only joking - i will force myself on regardless of blisters and aches and pains.

I have set up a fundraising web page if anyone would like to sponsor me. So far i have raised just over £200 from family, friends & work colleagues. Any donations would be much appreciated no matter how small. I am hoping to beat my last years total and raise in excess of £270 this year.

I have just been looking at my webpage and noticed that it comes up with £25.00 donation in the amount box. :ohwell:

If you would like to sponsor me i wouldn't expect anyone to sponsor anywhere near that amount - that can be deleted and you can enter your own amount. :wink:

Any amount however small would be appreciated - it is for charity after all and Breast cancer will probably affect quite a few of us at some point in our lives, if not personally then through a friend or relative. :crying:

A team from my daughter's school are doing one too - is there only one or are they nationwide?

I sent them the bra card for good luck and they loved it!! :headbangers:

Thank you very much - that would be no problem at all. I will PM you with all the details.

There is another Moonwalk in Edinburgh - on 16th June -the same event - just a different place.
They also do one called a sunwalk which is during the day in Bristol i think 5K & 10K walks.

I loved your card last year with the bras on - very fitting. I still have it in my memory box along with my medal.
