| Allotments & Cupcakes!!! |
I enjoy cooking and am quite good making up my own recipes for dinners etc, but have never really got into making cakes, so have subscribed to a new baking magazine and am going to learn to make lots of tasty treats - there is a big trend for cupcakes at the moment and my last attempt was rather poor!!!
The second thing i want to do is to get my own allotment plot so that i can start growing some veggies. Although we do have a garden it is not all that big as we have a massive shed for storage and the rest of the garden is made up of decking and patio (due to the dogs)! I have tried growing plants and herbs in pots before but the dogs just never leave them alone and Pepsi has recently started using my herb pot (in which there is still a tiny bit of mint growing) to bury her toys!!! It just isnt going to work in my garden!! The trouble is my local council have closed their waiting list as there are well over 500 people on there already waiting for a plot. I have sent emails to a couple of groups who help arrange private allotment plots and am hoping to hear back from one of those. Although they do state that it can take up to a few years - but hopefully something will come up soon
In the meantime i can get on with some baking
