Sting or injury

Hi Everyone
I had the munchkins out in the garden this afternoon whilst I was clearing up leaves. Rosie was down at the bottom of the garden surveying what was going on whilst Katie kept bringing me her ball to through.

When we came in and I had prepared their feed and given it to them I noticed that little Katie had a left swollen bottom eyelid. It seemed to swell before my eyes at an alarming rate. It was not annoying her one bit.

I bathed it with a saline solution and it seemed to help as the swelling reduced and the reddness left it. I have did it again this evening before we came upstairs plus given her some Piriton. Its odd but there is no sign of injury or a sting. If it was allergy related you would think there would be more than the eyelid affected.

If it is still swollen in the morning we will take a trip to see the vet.

Anyone else seen this happen? Have any thoughts?

Helen

However if it is

No Helen, not seen it before sorry. My guess would either be a sting, like you say, or perhaps a thistle/nettle.

If it doesn't bother her and it goes down with piriton it is probably not an injury as such?

Don't listen to me know - as the say goes - "I know nathing"!!

Hi
Only me [Helen] - Did a bit of spring cleaning on the computer [cleared cookies etc] and will have to go look up my password etc.

Katie is fine again, very very slight swelling but only if you look for it. If you look at the eyelid closely you can see a tiny red dot - guess will never know what it was but at least all is okay.

Helen
