Despicable Act

Yesterday I was sent a forwarded email. Usually I dont even bother opening them even if they are sent from a reliable source but as I had been asked to "comment" on this one I did and I really wish I hadnt. It has haunted me ever since.

Seemingly it is in all the dog papers this week so presumably some of you will have seen it anyway. Fishermen using "live" bait in the form of young dogs to bait sharks. I wont go into the gorey details in how they prepare the dog but its something I wont ever forget.

You would think this might be something that is happening in far off shores. There is the middle east where dogs are eaten etc. However this is far far closer to home. Not the UK thank god but not far away.

Can things get any worse - what is wrong with mankind today that these sickening acts of barbaric cruelty exist. Absolutely nothing excuses it. It seems there is no depth to which mankind can stoop to.

Despairing

Helen I saw this on the news. It's also on another forum that I go on to. There is a petition to sign. I'll try and get the link for anyone here who wishes to put there name to it. Things are looking good though... because of the number of people that has signed it so far the RSPCA are stepping in to try and stop it.

Hi Jacqui
Here is the link - you dont see any of the pictures which is good as I found it very distressing. Please everyone sign this petition.

Re: Despicable Act

I have seen this in The Sun newspaper over the past couple of weeks.

They showed a 6 month old labrador pup with hooks through its mouth and paw - it was really horrible.

A few days ago they did an article on the pup and it has now been rehomed with a family. A happy ending in this case - but how many other dogs are not so lucky????

I really don't know how people can be so cruel.
