I keep wondering too. I hope for the pups sake they have sold him on to someone who will love him as the alternative is too awful to think about. Cant understand when their pictures where so clear why they havent been picked up.

Poor little baby
There have been so many things in the papers lately about people being cruel to animals. I just really don't understand how people can be so cruel. It is good news that the fines and custodial sentences have been doubled but i still don't think they are enough. When i was in our pet warehouse the other week i saw a poster of a missing tan and white boxer pup - I don't know if it was the same one but how could anyone be so cruel to such a gorgeous little pup? I really hope that he has been found okay and that the thugs that were abusing him got caught.

Little bar stools desrve the same treatment - all these bloody do gooders who say their misunderstood should have to sit down and watch a weeks worth of cctv showing what these little thugs get upto, maybe then they would change their mind or better still how would they like some of these misunderstood urchens to move in next door to them???
Soory I'm on one here - took my pair upto the co-op the other night which thankfully is a fair old walk and situated in a rather rough area. A large group of teens were letting off fireworks etc. One asked if I would like him to hold the dogs which I replied "do I look stupid" he then asked "what ya gonna do if someone takes your dogs when yur in't shop?" My reply and actions were as follows:- a) show him the 6 cell maglite torch inside my jacket b) explain that "if" anyone were to take my dogs or throw fireworks at them they would have a very sore head and broken legs!! To which he replied "fair nuff mister - I take yur point". He then proceeded to fuss the dogs and stopped asking ridiculous questions and his mates went a little quiet. Unfortunately the youths in question have a habit of intimidating people in the local area if they think they can get away with it - great stuff. They then proceeded to follow me to the cycle track after I had purchased my wears with the dogs in tow which didn't please the counter assistant in the co-op but hey ho. I had to laugh when we got to the cycle track I let Molly and Tash off and they went and terrorised the little darlings with a very impressive display of WE ARE VERY VISCOUS BOXERS WITH LOUD BARKS AND BIG TEETH!!! Oh how I laughed as the blighters proceeded to head for cover including the top of a 6ft fence, ha ha ha. They had the cheek to call me a physco as I walked off and asked me to call the dogs off - not a chance. Needless to say a good time was had by all!!!!!!!!!!!!! Give it em both barrells I say. Paul |

As placid as Bonnie & Clyde are normally they would protect us if they felt we were being threatened, Rocky would run a mile. good on you Paul & well done Molly & Tash, good thing about boxers they tend to look much fiercer than they actually are, anyway i don`t think any teenager here would chance testing my lots temperment or mine for that matter, honestly i am a lady heehee yvonne

Paul that story had me in stitches - good one!!
My last girl used to bark like mad, but if they came over the threshold she would hide under the bed - I just had to hope that if they were going to attack me, they didnt come into the house to do it!! If we are messing around in the house, Sasha will come between whoever she thinks the attacker and the victim are, but if it was for real - I dont know? I would like to think she would though.

Bonnie is a bit ott at the protection bit, Joe was tickling a young visitor who has some disabilities Bonnie thought Joe was hurting the wee one who was laughing very loudly, Bonnie growled a warning, Joe ignored her oops mistake Bonnie snapped at him-all because she thought the wee one was being hurt, what do you do? we cannot give her a row for snapping because dhe thinks she is being protective, it is just a pity she does'nt realize Joe is only playing, Bonnie has a very strong maternal streak which makes her very protective of children, she gets very distressed if she hears a child cry, she is such a sweet boxer who does'nt really understand play although she has improved somewhat over the years, Yvonne

Spot on, Yvonne. Daz does the same. If he thinks he sees a child in distress, he will react, even to my old man stirring kids.
For my old man, Daz will place himself between, and quietly, but looking confused. To strangers, well he is in their face "big time" Nobody has taught him this, it has just seems to have come with the package. Good on him!!! |
