Heartbreaking (if easily upset dont look)

/well yesterday I collected a boxer from the dogs trust that was going to be put to sleep as they didnt have room for him for much longer. He was found wandering the streets scavageing for food. Approx 1 to 18 months old.

Oh Jacquie how can you bear it? I take it you are going to look after him for a while and bring him back to full strength? How sad that he should be wandering the streets - do you think he could be a lost baby that someone is still pining for? I could deal with that better than someone kicking him out to fend for himself!!

Does he have a name?

Give him some tlc from me!

I thought it was Dogs Trust policy NEVER to put a healthy dog down. Shame on them if they were backing out on their policy.
Heart breaking. Thank goodness for folk like you Jacqui.

That is there policy ONLY if they have the room!

We will be taking good care of him dont worry, Oh and his name is Cosmo.

He was advertised as being found but no one came forward.

Jacquie

Yet again well done - I can only hope that Cosmo enyoys his stay with you and makes a full recovery. Please post more pics as it will be great to see the transition from the pics above to a well cared for and loved boxer.

Lets hope long term he finds a forever home that will give him all the love and attention he so dearly deserves!!

Like Paul says Jacquie, it would be great to see more photos of him once he has been tlc'd to the nth degree!

Good luck Cosmos, but I think it may have already changed back in his favour now anyway.

I'm really pleased to be able to tell you all that Cosmo "went home" today with his new mum and dad. They were more than keen to give him a home and some much deserved TLC. Will update you all with photo's when I get them.
Its far better them getting the weight on him and him learn he's there to stay rather than being in foster then having to up sticks again.

Helen, Thank you for your kind donation, every bit does infact help. He was sent on his way with food, toys and a bounce in his step. Again thank you for being so kind...

Great news Jacquie, it sounds as if Cosmos's new owners are going to be able to give him all the love, care and attention that he will need to regain his weight and trust in human kindness.

Good luck in your new forever home Cosmos.

Well done Jacquie for finding Cosmo a new home - poor thing - how could anyone treat a dog like that - and even worse neglect them and let them wander the streets until they either starve or get knocked down by a car!

Hopefully the little baby will have a much happier life now that he has got someone to love and care for him properly.

Keep up the excellent work Jacquie. xxxx
