Tizzy booked in to be spayed

That's Tizzy booked in for 9am on Monday to get spayed :worried:

Am stressing about it already - she is never away from Sasha so I am really worried about her getting stressed and upset :worried:

I'm sure Tizzy will be fine....you'll probably be worse! I'm dreading the day when we take Poppy. I'll be so worried. Still it seems like ages away just now but I#m sure it'll fly in.

I'll be thinking about her on Monday morning.

She'll be fine Karen I am sure the vets and assistants will look after her and no doubt make a real fuss of her. I bet Sasha will look after and keep her warm when she gets home as well!

Regards

Paul

p.s. fingers crossed and will be thinking of you Monday

The worst part Karen is stopping them [or trying to] from doing all the boisterous things that Boxers do. Boxers bounce back very fast.

Will be thinking of you both Monday.

Oh god I remember that well, Zeb bounced back to normal about an hour after coming home :waa: It was a nightmare trying to stop him jumping around.
When Lola was spayed she was much more sensible (as us girlies are)

Will be thinking of you tomorrow, we do worry don't we?

She is having so much fun today playing in the garden and I feel really guilty every time I look at her :worried:

She is getting her dew claws removed at the same time, so she is really going to hate me!! :console:

Note to all, Boxers need special anaesthetic. Be sure to remind your vet on each and every occasion. The consequences can be fatal.

Yes they shouldn't be anaesthetized with ACEPROMAZINE, commonly known as 'Ace'. Check your vets don't use it. No brachycephalic breed should have it used on them.

Re: Tizzy booked in to be spayed

I have already spoken to my vets about this in the past and always check when I drop them off for surgery. It's the pre-med that causes them problems apparently - I completely trust my vet in this matter.

Dropped Tizzy off first thing and now feel like the biggest sh*t in the world!!

Had thought of getting her dew claws taken out at same time but the vet says they are vyer well attached to the bone and would take at least an extra 40 mins under anesthetic so didn't want to do it. She says that because they are so well attached, Tizzy shouldn't have any problems with ripping them etc.

My poor baby girl :worried:

She'll be fine Karen, she will just sulk for a while - especially when she goes to the toilet.

I'm sure she will still love you though and I bet that big whip of a tail is wagging when you pick her up!!!!!!!

Re: Tizzy booked in to be spayed

That's Tizzy home now My poor wee babe - she went out for a wee and then just looked at me for me to carry her up the back step into the house :worried:

She was fairly alert when I picked her up and weed all over the floor when she saw me! She started to snooze in the car (10 min journey home) and is now having a snooze.

Sasha is very pleased to see her, but has been really gentle with her - do they understand I have put Tizzy's bed at the foot of my sofa and Sasha just keeps sitting beside her and looking at her.:blowkisses:

She has also had a good sniff at Tizzy's stitches so I am wondering if I need a buster collar for Sasha instead!!

Am going to give her a chance to have a snooze and then I will give her some scrambled egg. :console:
