Too much turkey!

I've been telling Bill the last few days not to keep feeding Polo bits off the turkey, he's given him skin, giblets and last night he was taking all the meat off to boil the bones for soup and giving Polo lots of bits. This morning he'd been sick and Bill said he'd never smelled anything so bad and was heaving when cleaning it up  I say it serves him right and he should listen to me in future :smash6: Polo seems fine now so that's good

Re: Too much turkey!

Aww poor Polo!! Bet he enjoyed it though!!

Sasha got treated to the bacon fat on her breakfast on Christmas morning and she was extremely pleased about that!! We had lunch at a friends so no leftovers here (which is a good thing as far as I am concerned!).

We are feeling fairly pleased with ourselves due to the fact that Sasha hasn't managed to steal all the chocolates this year - we have finally reached the status of responsible owners!!

It would have been the skin that made him sick. I would give mine the giblets [only butcher didnt give me any this year  ] etc. Someone else that uses the bones for stock!!

We're not allowed NOT to use the bones - our 17 year old wouldn't have it any other way, she says one of the best bits of having turkey or chicken is the soup afterwards

Re: Too much turkey!

Same here - my lot are disappointed because we went out for Christmas lunch, which means no bones which means no soup!
