Talking Dogs!

Do any of your babies "talk" to you? My last boxer used to make noises if she was asked to, but Sasha talks all the time! She is constantly making noises and is extremely vocal if we are in the playground (which can get very embarassing!!) If she sees someone she knows she just shouts (not barking though) across the playground til they come and see her, which they obviously do!

I wish we had video messaging on here so I could show you what I mean - it's hysterical when she does it!! It's not whining or growling, she just seems to want to "talk" to us and tell us what she is feeling!

Daz very rarely makes any sound at all.
Occasionally he will bark during active play.
I remember the first time he did bark, he was about 1 1/2 yearsold, and he gave himself such a fright, bless.

Blue talks! and sings. When he talks to you it's normally when were watching tv. If you ask him what it is he will then start singing! This is our q to play with him, then he nibbles your hand its so funny.
The nibbeling is like he's cleaning you, dont really know how to describe it exept like the way a mother nibbles her pups. The really funny thing is Sasha has started to nibble too! Although she doesn't sing yet.:jump:

Tia talks to us all the time - she has got a really funny noise she mays at times as well which sort of sounds like a moan but more high pitched and she makes thatv noise when she wants to play.

She has also got a 'noisy yawn' - sometimes she yawns normally but other times she makes a really funny noise - I think it is her way of getting attention because she is always looking at you when she does that.

We are lucky to get any sound at all out of Kirei - all she wants to do is sleep all the time and she very rarely barks.

Henry sometimes can be quit evocal but nothing like Tia!!

Re: Talking Dogs!

That's ok then! Was wondering if it was a boxer thing or a Sasha thing!!

She makes me laugh so much, she can be playing with a toy and she will be talking to herself and moaning and groaning away! Never seen anything like it!

Managed to video her doing it once and played it back - boy did that confuse her!

Glad to hear she isn't "barking mad"!!

Yeah -Molly does the boxer waaah waaah woooh thing, people who are used to normall dogs think is hillarious.

Molly grumbles and mumbles at birds in the garden and humans always get a vocal welcome or calling if they are in the distance.

Boxers are great - what other dogs talk?

Heskey is a quiet dog and rarely barks unless someone chaps on the door. He does do a whiny thing if he sees another dog when we are out. Jake use to drive Mike mad by yipping at him when he was bored. I often use to come home from work and find the dog fast asleep on the settee and Mike doing work upstairs to get away from him!

Gixer is usually quiet but picks his times extremely well for his talking/singing usually in the middle of a croud just like Sascha. Everyone finds it hysterical especially at the obediance group we go to. I find it highly embarrasing. Glad to know its a Boxer thing though

Kai always backchats when I'm giving him a row, my partner finds it hilarious as do I but I always try to keep a straight face. Its a strange noise that he makes, kindy like a deep belly rummle noise.
