Congratulations to Liz and thank you

Liz (Jakes mum)
Is adopting one of our dogs. Unfortunatly, she is not getting the first dog that we sutted to her. But she has got a stunner! No he isn't white, but he is a boxer and a stunning one at that!
I'm sure she will be on next week telling us all about him. His name at the moment is heskie (after a footballer ) I still cant get my head round the spelling thing. There again had a couple of vodkas to night! had a hectic couple of days. Anyway liz see you on Sunday, He is a stunner!!!!:loveya: If I didn't have my 2 I would keep him. (get rid od hubby) LOL dont tell him

The wines going down nicely tonight in the vague hope it will keep the excitement at a controllable level! Mikes absolutely fallen for Hesky (though in saying that he falls for every boxer he sees). Cant wait for Sunday to meet you all, and for my house to be full of bouncing dog again! Ohh Sunday seems such a long way away doesnt it!!

Liz left me a wee while ago. She just thinks he is great. I'm sure we will all here about his antics over the next few months. Plus see his photo's.
Nice ending for him!

Karen
Taz went to a new Mum and Dad yesterday (sat). At the moment that's all our dogs got new homes but it is the backlash from Christmas time now so thinks could be very diffrent in a few hours. I just wish more people looked into boxers a bit more before buying a cute pup.
That wasn't Taz I was talking about, just things in general. Taz's family adored him, ilness made then have to find Taz a good home which I'm happy to say he has got! :loveya:
All our boxer babies deserve love and forever homes from the start, only somtimes for one reason or another we get them. Better that than being abused or dumped!

Thank you for letting us know Jacquie - I do worry about these poor babies I see on the site!!

It must have been traumatic for his family to say goodbye to him, at least they loved him enough to know that he needed a new home. Sounds like he was loved and will be just as loved in his new home.

Just to let you all know, this is day one and things are going well! Its a bit like Hesky has always been here. Few dodgy moments with the cat (whose now hidding somewhere upstairs) though i have to say as the cat is far from little my money is on him!! Hesky managed to howl all night, and has spent the morning lying on the sofa with his feet in the air while snoring and farting-so he obviously feels quite at home. Will sort photos out and keep you all updated on his progress

Re: Congratulations to Liz and thank you

Hi Liz

It sounds as though he has really settled in what with the snoring and farting!!!!!

We had the same problem when i had my cat - she used to hide upstairs when the dogs were running around. It wasn't that they wanted to hurt her they were just curious and if she ran they wanted to run after her.

The cats always seem to come out better off so i wouldn't worry too much!!

Hurry up with the photos - can't wait to see him.

Re: Congratulations to Liz and thank you

Sounds like he is well at home if the air is already green!!!

Sasha managed to get hold of a cat in the garden yesterday - there is a little ginger kitten that comes and sits and scratches at our patio door. Of course Sasha goes bounding up to it and generally smacks her head off the glass - she never learns!!! It decided to walk right past her in the garden yesterday - Sasha was going nuts and had it pinned but it was fighting back well enough!!

They never learn!

Glad to hear Heskey is well settled - a home isnt a home until its covered in drool and stinks of boxer "fresh air"!!

Heskey - more like hoss, get that dog a saddle!!

That is one serious piece of boxer - he looks like he is going to be huge.

Sorry Liz, hello by the way I can't get ver the size of him. He looks like a fine specimen and I'm sure he will give you hours of joy and the odd hour of pulling your hair out, surely that's what boxer ownership is all about though.

Take care and good luck, Paul

Cheers everyone, thankfully Hesky has decided he can now sleep throughthe night without howling (maybe he gassed himself), and the best bit of news is that the squeeky has come out of the toy that Jacquie kindly sent with him. Mikes busy taking photos so you should have some soon. Cat still living upstairs, but suspect he likes it up there!!

Cat is furiously planning a fendish plan to drop heskey right in it and get him into trouble! You may think he is hiding but that is just a front - have you never seen the film Cats & Dogs? If you had you would know where I am coming from.

Never trust a cat they are far to independant for my liking.

You'll see when his fendish plan reaches fruition - please remeber my cautionary advice when you are giving Heskey a ticking off.

It was the cat hes behind you!!!!!

Time I went to bed me thinks.

He he he - I am with you on that one Paul! Cats are far more cunning that our little angels - they dont have the brain cells to plan that far ahead!!

Glad to hear Heskey is settling down - sleeping through the night is a huge bonus! It took Sasha about four nights before she settled but that was down to the fact we had locked her in the kitchen. We had to wait until we knew she was dry as her previous owner said she had several accidents throughout the night. Once we trusted her to not wee everywhere, we put her under the stairs and never heard from her again (well during the night anyway!!)

Looking forward the photos, am so glad Heskey has found his way into your lives.

Re: Congratulations to Liz and thank you

hi everyone. Archie the cat is still living upstairs and doing a nice line in pooing in the bath!!! (supose he has to protest somehow and atleast its easy to clean). Introduced him to Heskey this evening by putting him in cat basket. (not the dog) Heskey thought this was a supperb game and thoroughly enjoyed himself by barking and carrying himself on. Oh well back to the drawing board! Mike has done a website of who knows what, but the photos of Heskey are on there as well as photos of my brave lad Jake. Havent figured out how you put them on here yet . you can get to it by going to

Our two cats still live upstairs and we've had Polo almost 2 years now, one of them is getting a bit braver, but they're still very wary :smash6:

I love the photo's! See he stil has "the ball" glad it's lost it's squeek though. It would drive you nuts!!!!
Only one mistake. It's boxer welfare scotland not rescue. The rescue is run by breeders, sore point there. They dont help us in any way. They do not rehome dogs, only take in ones quote "that have three legs". Not really a nice bunch of people. They look down on us as we make things "easy" for people to give up a dog! I could go on but I wont.
