Hello I hope you and your doggies are all well, I don't get on here near as much as I used to.
Anyway I noticed the website I order Poppys food from has started stocking Royal canine and was intrigued by the one specially formulated for boxers. Does anyone use this? Poppy has always been fed James Wellbeloved and has been on the ocean white fish since I noticed a difference in her skin colour after trying it, she never had problems with her skin that I was aware of until then, it just looked a lighter pink and her tear stains improved greatly. Nothing ever seems to upset her stomach or anything either. Do you think I should just stick with what she's on? I'm just thinking if its going to be better for her then I will change, its slightly more expensive for a slightly smaller bag but then I don't suppose because its more expensive its necessarily better? I just can't get past the feeling that if its specifically made for boxers it must be better for her, so I thought I'd ask the experts! What do you think?

oh i have'nt seen that one, my mum feeds her collie royal canine and my cousin feeds her retrievers it as well.......however i am of the opinion "if its not broken dont try to fix it".
Keasha is also on JWB Ocean Fish, and it 100% agrees with her so i think i will keep her on what she is used to. Shona x

I've know one person who feeds Royal Canine for Boxers and she swears by it, her dog is really sensitive and its the only thing that agree's with her. However I wouldn't change from BWS if Poppy does well on it.

Personally I would stick with JWB if Poppy is doing well on it. It could be that Royal Canin wont suit her and then you will have the fuss of changing her back.
The boxer Royal Canin has joint supplements in it, which you could easily do yourself by giving her glucosamine if you felt she needed it. xx

It reacts very badly with Harvey - he takes very bad Colitis on it.

Hi, there!
I had Daisy on Royal Canine for about 2 months, she did really well, coat was in good condition and was much more consistent in the stool department. The only downside was that she got bored with it. Every day the same thing twice, she started to look in her bowl - give me a look of utter disgust and walk away. It got to the stage that I was putting yoghourt with it, or gravy or tuna, and I just thought it was getting ridiculous, it became more like a mixer than a complete food and costs so much I concluded it had to stop. She has Sainsburys tinned dog food and mixer now and gobbles it up, there is a bit more variety and I think she likes the fact that its moist. Whatever you do, boxers aren't reluctant to let you know if they disapprove!! Jenny Daisy and Wynn |

Good thing I came across this, I've just ordered my first bag of Royal Canin food after a friend suggested. Lots of mixed reviews, I hope Snoop likes it!!
