Scabby bit

Tash keeps getting tiny scabby lumps on her head, more often than not they just fall off and thats that. But she now has one that keeps getting bigger - it looks like a wart when she has scratched off the scab, I hate to say it but it looks like a fag burn, it most certainly is not but just to give you an idea of the size of it.

I have bathed it etc etc but it does not seem any better and it doesn't help that like Karen our two are adjusting back to Lynne and I both being back in work - even though the little old lady next door has them the majority of the day!

If we leave them for an hour unsupervised I can guarantee that the head of the scab has been knocked / scratched off and the sore gets bigger.

Any ideas????? I'm at a loss or am i just worrying too much?

Re: Scabby bit

All my previous experience with lumps the size of smarties or fag burns etc have been hystiocytomas, but then they never scabbed over etc, apart from the first one, but that was somewhere she could get at it and she nibbled it??

Sasha has lumps and bumps all over her just now - I am wondering if it is a stress thing? She also has two spots on the top of her head that look like small acne scabs, you can rub the scab away easily, but it just keeps coming back!! Its not getting any bigger so I will leave it be for now.

Personally I would get it checked out Paul, just to be on the safe side and just to stop you worrying if necessary!

Hi Paul, its me the Lush from Carlisle. Heksey had the same problem (see earlier thingy wotsit where i asked for advice) His now looks like a bald ciggy burn but seems to have settled down. It is worth getting the vet to check it out, but we were advised if it caused him no further problems to just leave it be as it probably bothered me more than him!

Good news the scabby thing has gone and Tash's hair is growing back.

Just thought I would post some good news in the problems threads.

Good news is always welcome Paul!!

Glad to hear it all cleared up! Sasha still has all her scabs up and down her body - trying to figure out what causes them and the vet says stress!! Ha - if anyone should be stressed it cannot be a spoilt boxer who gets what she wants!!!
