Feeling very sad - things not looking good....

Unfortunately things are not looking good for Rosie. She has always manged to spring back and surprise us all but I now wonder if or how she can continue to do so. Only today someone said to me that I am going to have to think very seriously about what is best for Rosie

She is panting 24 x 7. Tonight was bad, you could "hear" the catch in her throat as she struggled to breathe. I keep a large stand alone fan on for her all night.

As I was stroking her tonight running my hands down the full length of her body - as I do daily with them all for signs of lumps/bumps I "felt" another cyst, not a small one this time, another big one coming in the same place as the last one. As before when you touch it, she flinches. These cysts cause her so much pain and distress.

Her arthritis isnt getting any better - her spine is getting weaker with the spondylosis.

She is only 9. Im sitting here crying and stroking her head because I know I am going to have to seriously think about what is best for my angel.......................

Rosie is still with us. Its thought she may have had a v slight stroke last week. We saw a lovely lady vet on saturday & felt a wee bit more positive. Cyst is different kind & treatable with antibiotics. We will take each day as it comes. We had wee setback on Sat night when she fell in the hall. Due to her sponylosis. Thankfully I was there. Wrapped my arms round her to help her up & massaged her knees, hips & back. Rosie herself is a bit brighter Sun & today

Once again Rosie has turned around and fought back, she has such spirit. I still veer on the cautious side with her. It takes a long time each night to get her settled. Usually 4-5am before I get off to sleep - disastrous for the days I work when I have to get up between 6.30-7.00am, but shes our angel.

Poor Rosie :bighug:

It is so hard when they are sick - you want to do so much for them but can't - the times i have sat and cried when one of mine looks ill because they just can't tell you how they are feeling.:crying:

I hope she continues to improve and lets you get a bit more sleep:thumbs:
