Took Sasha into the vet this morning to get a rash she has checked and to chat to him about this seperation anxiety she is still battling with. She is by no means as bad as she was, but there seems to be no rhyme nor reason as to when she kicks off!
We are working hard with the behaviour side of things, but no matter how calm things are around the house, she will suddenly decide that her world is going to fall apart and will start following me around or pining for me when I visit the loo!! Anyway, the vet is trying some medication on her that she will have for a two month period only. The hope is that it will break the cycle of her anxiety, and enable us to be more effective with the behavioural training. If they work after two months, she comes off them, if they haven't she still comes off them as they will be ineffective. Will just suck it and see as the saying goes!! Oh by the way, when we got to the vet's today there were two very demure and well behaved red boxers (1 male, 1 female both 7 years) They sat there like stars while Sasha did her boxer kite impression!! Then when we came out of the consulting room, there was a very old white girl sat there and her white companion was sat in the car! Three white babies in one place! Have to say, Sasha was acting like a complete idiot and letting the breed standard down!!! Luckily my vet knows I am able to control her!!

Pills do seem to be helping. She has been on them about 3 days now and she was very calm with all the comings and goings of the various school runs today.
