Everytime we go to my mum;s Gixer seems to hold his wee in sand then tends to "dribble" over my mums carpet she's ok about it but it gets annoying as he is house trained. I've noticed lately though that it happens at home sometimes so was wondering if it is down to his heart problems or even the tablets. He is on diuretics now so when he needs to go he has to go then. Does anyone have any ideas?

I would think it's from the diuretics.Ever use a male dog wrap?I haven't but I've seen them.Looks like they would be a great idea.Maybe ask your vet,too?

Diuretics probably wont help the situation, bless him. But, if it only happens at your Mum's I would think there is a reason for it? Does he not like to go in her garden or anything? It maybe a habit he's started at your Mum's that he's now bringing home. If you think of it as behavioural and see if he acts any differently there? More or less anxious/excited etc?
Sasha has slight incontinence and hers seems to be worse after a walk, if that helps at all? xx

We have to travel a couple of hours to get to mum and he won't go on the journey. Also mums garden has no grass and he seems to object to wee. We take him to the park nearby but this time he wouldn't go. I will see what the vet says

Had a result today. We are at my mums for her 80th birthday. Gix has been very good weeing this time. All of us popped out this morning and he hasn't Ben left alone at mums not in a crate since my dad was ill as he used to wee all over
The house. Left him for an hour and came home to find him snoozing on the sofa. I am so pleased and he got loads of cuddles and was pleased with himself! Hopefully it'll be the same tonight as we are going out for a big family meal. I did say to mum I think he might remember last time going to the vets and the vet checking his prostate so I don't think he wants that to happen again lol. Also I said to her when dad was ill gix took it upon himself to look after dad and hr stressed if we went out without him. Hopefullyum will have a wee free house from now on
