sunburn???

to those with a white boxer- sunburn. how soon can they get sunburned? like 10 minutes? 20 minutes?? I'm just wondering how often I'll need to apply sunscreen. our backyard has three huge trees and is probably half shaded. I also have a 13 year old shin tzu and a rescue 4 year old pug. they don't go outside unless I'm out there or I'm watching from the door to go potty. they don't typically play outside or stay out there long unless like I stated I'm out there too. I'm just super worried it'll only take minutes before my precious baby gets burned

Re: sunburn???

Your right, they will burn, same as we would. Treat them like a baby, especially the ears, nose and exposed bits between the hind legs.
A rare problem for us in Aberdeen though. LOL

Re: sunburn???

I use Superdrug's hair and scalp sun spray as it doesn't go greasy on his fur. I have tried loads of different ones as GIxer got a lump that was caused by the sun. This one seems to be the best. Don't know if they still do it but somebody must do one.

Re: sunburn???

We have two kittens with white tipped ears and today bought Boots Soltan baby sun are cream

We have two white boxers and when sunny we restrict their exposure to outside. 10 minutes at a time if it's very sunny and/or hot unless you an get them to,lie in the shade then 20 - 30 mins at a time.
