Colitis

Has anyone got any experience of this and can give me some much needed advice please?
Lola was diagnosed about 2 months ago with colitis probably due to a food allegy. There is so little info about, most of the little knowledge I have my sister in America gets for me. Cereal and grains are the worst allergens. Lola is OK on chicken and potato and loves it, the vet has said to try to get her back to dog food and so far I have tried 2 brands just a tiny spoon a day with disasterous results. I have tried Applaws and James Wellbeloved and now started Eukanuba. I don't mind if she lives on chicken and potato but i'm worried she will be missing out vitamins and minerals. other people fodd is OK, she has small amounts of cheese, yogurt and boiled egg as a treat.

Re: Colitis

Does the vet reccomend a brand or type of food?????Sorry,I dont know about colitis.Ive had dogs with food allergies, but they broke out in hives and were itchy.Years ago,one of my bostons Buddy-had such a bad reaction,I had to rush him to the vet. So,I know how hard allergic reactions can be.Hope you find something she can safely eat.
