Hi havnt been on for a while, whilst having lolli spade my vet picked up that she has a heart murmur possibly grade 2/3 but cannot correctly diagnose this until she has a scan, anyway yesterday she had a semi collapse at the beach after swimming, she looked like she was going to keel over and went a bit strange, she seemed to recover but today she is not herself, she is very quiet still eating and drinking but not her normal bouncy self,i am taking her to the vet first thing in the morning, just wondered if anyone else has a dog with a heart murmur and what can i expect as in treatment for her? i am worried sick about her

Hi,she is fine at the moment thanks, just waiting for the vet to ring me about the hospital,he thinks she may be having syndcop episodes, you can have them in the brain or heart,if its her brain its ok but if its the heart it can cause sudden death,i think you can get some sort of pacemaker fitted to sort it out, she has grade 2/3murmer but he said that wouldnt cause her to collapse like she does, vet did the heart scan, echiogram and heart x-ray but couldnt see anything other than the murmer so he wants her checked more in depth, how is your dog now?x
