Sasha got brown staining around her eyes and under her chin when she had her first season and I went out and bought a Johnsons tear stain remover. I have to say that I didnt have much luck with it and she hated it. Saying that, since she was spayed they have gone!

I have heard of Pretty Eyes but havent used it sorry.

if you go onto page 2 of the problems pages and scroll down for a bit, you will see a tear stains thread. on there is a product called kleen face and information about how to get hold of it! it is very good stuff and is also natural so it won't hurt if it goes in your dogs eyes unlike some of the products on the market that contain lots of chemicals!
hope this helps!

Hi Nicki

Have you tried bathing in warm salt water? Tash has the same problem partly due to the fact she has a deep fold running from the inside edge of each eye. I don't like using chemical poducts on Tash and neither does she - she goes nuts!!!! It is an up hill struggle with her, the staining does not seem to bother her but it does look unsightly if not kept on top of.

I have never been able to completely get rid of it but it is a lot better if bathed every couple of days - don't make the water too salty as it will dry the skin causing sores. If you do notice that the skin looks inflamed try sudacrem cream - a tiny bit gently massaged into the affected area works wonders!!

Kind regards, Paul
