Hi Everyone
We had booked our baby in for her innoculations yesterday when we got her approx one week ago which in retrospect was well planned. Yesterday morning she was very quiet and sleepy, wanted nursed on your knee and cried if she couldnt get up. She was shivery and warm to touch. As you can imagine we were very upset. As so happened I had suspected that all was not well with her "water works" - I wont go into it as its something that I have been through before with puppies. Got a "sample" and took it with me and sure enough - blood in her water. An injection [she screamed blue murder] had the vet lifting and cuddling her - well she was captivated anyway [vet that is] and didnt need an excuse to lift Katie and cuddle her!! Got antibiotics etc and told if she did not improve within 24 hours we were to take her back immediately!

I can honestly say our vet is a miracle worker! Katie still isnt eating much - is there much worse than a faddy eater!! However she is bouncing around once more this evening!

She still enjoys her cuddles and snuggles......

Re: sick puppy

Poor Katie, glad to hear though that she's making a good recovery - it's so worrying, especially when they're so little. It looks like you're going to have fun when you start taking her out for walks - allow plenty of extra time so she can charm her new audience (don't forget your soapbox - you'll feel like you need it by the time you've finished educating people about white boxers:smash6:smile: Have fun

Poor wee soul. I hope she is feeling much better soon, maybe all the attention she is getting will cheer her up! I am sure it is just a wee pup thing and that she will be all licks again soon.

Re: sick puppy

Hi all
Still a bit worried as Katie is leaking urine. If no better she will have to go back to the vets tomorrow. She has had 3 days on her antibiotics so they should have taken over by now. She is only 8 weeks. She is bright enough but.....
