Re: white boxer mia

Whites should never be bred from at all as there is a recessive gene that causes deafness.

That being said, I wouldn't recommend breeding at all. There is no need for it as there are plenty of other dogs in rescues and being bred by huge breeders that need homes too.

Is there a specific reason you want to breed from her?

And if it helps make a decision for you, my Tizzy lost her mum at 2 days old through an infection after giving birth. I have heard so many horror stories that I wouldn't even consider putting my girls through something like that.

You would be far kinder getting her spayed while she is still young and getting another pup or a dog from rescue.

Hope that didn't sound too harsh, but we see the reality of people having "just one litter" and it isnt good!!

Ask yourself why you want to breed and before you even answer yurself, take a walk round any dog rescue and see the numerous dogs and puppies, a vast majority will be pedigrees that were "sold" to "loving" homes and then thrown out when the novelty wears off. Welive in a throw away society. Even breeders who go to great lengths to get good forever homes for their puppies can get it wrong. Enjoy your white girl and as Karen has said, get her spayed and if you want another Boxer get one from rescue.
