New here

Hello everyone
I have 3 dogs . 8 year old yellow Lab(Hunter) 2 year old male brindle boxer(Ripley) and in 3 to 4 weeks a white little female boxer who I plan to call Meadow  The breeder is not too sure about her hearing as of yet, but either way I am very excited that I am getting another baby.
I am looking forward to sharing stories and pictures with all!

Re: New here

Hello Meadows Mom, welcome to the forum.
Good luck with the little one.
I have a 9.1/2 year old white male called Daz. We live in Aberdeen. Scotland.
Oh yes, we do like pictures. Check out the "Photobuckets" in the Art Gallery, for pics of ours.

Re: New here

Thank-you for the welcome  Not sure on the date of her arrival....the breeder lives 4 hours from me and will be bringing the Meadow to me. She shows her dogs and the show puppies will be having their ears cropped here in London ,Ontario. She said it would be around the 8 or 9 week period, so not sure of the date as yet. She just turned 5 weeks last Tuesday. Daz is a very handsome boy!!! Do you have any others or is he your only baby?
I will post pictures soon. I have some that the breeder has sent me

Re: New here

Daz is my only dog, also keep a 15 year old cat and some fishes.
There is no cropping or docking in the Uk, will Meadow be cropped and/or docked?
It will be a long month waiting for your little one.

Re: New here

Welcome, hope you enjoy the forum.

Please dont assume that Meadow will be deaf, jus because she is white! A large proportion of whites can hear perfectly well, even if they choose not to, like my girl!

Good luck and have fun!

Re: New here

Thanks guys...I will post some pictures this weekend of all my clan. I also have a Ragdoll cat named Wizard. He rules the house and the dogs know it  Meadow's tail has been cropped, but her ears will be natural. Personally I love the natural look in all dogs . As for her hearing it does not matter to me if is she is or not. The breeder has said that she does not think her "hearing is the best", but she is a pup..so I'm sure selective hearing could be the issue. My Brindle is 2 and still had it ..lol we will have to wait & see on that one

Re: New here

Our cat rules the roost too, treats this place like a hotel, he can be quite cruel to Daz, chasing him about the house, and the odd slap in the kisser if Daz invades his space.
Couple of weeks ago Daz's left eye swelled up and closed, it looked well cloudy white and weeping gunk, we worried about his sight. Vet thought it was a scratch, "Do you have a cat?" he said. I would be sorely unimpressed if the cat had done this. Two weeks of treatment and the eye is looking much better.
