Hello Everyone
Hope you dont mind a coloured Boxer girl writing here. Mum and I are really excited because soon I am going to get a little sister and she is going to be White! I dont care wot colour she is, it will be fun to have someone else with four feet to play with. I still cant believe that it is happening. Mum says the time will fly in, sure hope so! Mum says that soon I will have to share my "Best Boxer girl in the World" spot with her. :bolt: Mum looked into it very carefully about getting me a sister cos she says that they owe me so much for all my love and devotion and taking care of them. Well, its what us Boxers excel at isnt it! I know my first home wasnt so good but its so long ago now I cant really remember. Lots of Boxer love and licks.  R.V.

When is the new arrival going to arrive? will it be a pup or a rescue white boxer? Anyway welcome to the site, I have not been a member long myself but love visiting and catching up with like minded people. Its me again - RV. Silly mum forgot to take her password down when she was on the laptop and I am using the PC. My new sister is going to be a pup. I was a what they call a rescue! My doctor said that it would be better for me if we got a baby sister rather than an older sister:roundnround: We are going to call her "Katiesnowflake" Katie for short. RV |

Awww my last baby was called Katie, she was a red boxer though. Hope your Katie gives you as much fun, entertainment and love that mine gave me.

 Hi Everyone Course we Boxers can use a computer/PC. Takes a bit of getting used to wrapping our paws round the keys but everyone knows we are as smart as can be. I also write for a Boxer newsletter that my mum sends out quarterly. Sometimes I dictate to her and let mum type as she can do it quicker than me!! Mum got me when I was young from a Boxer rescue group. "Katie" will be coming straight from her own home where she is with her brothers/sisters and mom. Mom is just a bit concerned in case Katie is deaf cos although mom can train dogs she has no experience with deaf ones. Course I never like to tell her that we Boxers "train" our owners and just let them think they have trained us.  RV |

Thanks, that has cleared things up for me. Is the Boxer Newsletter available to read or access from the internet? I'm sure all will find it interesting. Well it must be if there is a Boxer theme. Very few White Boxers are born with hearing impairment, no more than the % of Coloured Boxers. Is there a history of deafness in Katie's lineage? I often wonder about my Daz's hearing. I can shout at him from 3ft with no reaction from him at all. but, he can hear a chocolate bar wrapper rustling from 100 yards.  |

Good point Jill.
Whilst Tash is as deaf as a post she always knows whats going on especillay where food is concerned!! That said she watches Mollys body language and then responds in a like minded fashion. Forunately she has not picked up Mollys bad temper with other dogs. R.V. what deaf boxers lack in the hearing department they more than make up for with the other senses tash's eyesight is superb and her sense of smell is amazing. Jill has a good point though it is a myth that a greater percentage of white boxers are born deaf so keep your fingers crossed. Either way I am sure that Katie will be a sound investment bringing lots of fun, mischief and love to your home and at the end of the day that's what boxers do best!! Paul |

Nope - fraid not, newsletter isnt available on the internet. We arent that clever!!! It goes out by snail mail [royal mail]. We could maybe have sent back issues except the PC died about two weeks ago and everything saved on it. We live and learn and now save all to do with the newsletter on disk! We tried to set up a website once but it was a big disaster!! RV |
