rules for posting?

are we okay to share memories on here as well? i hope so.............. Ziggy was scrawny when we got him, but we were advised to mix his food with boiled rice, he loved it, he was deaf, but we didnt take him to any classes, i just trained him at home, he got on great with our cat and also with other dogs in the street, when we took him for walks he would never go far ahead, i think he was worried about losing us, he used to lie on my feet when i got in from work, killed my feet but kept them warm..................he was just the best friend a man could have, and i really miss him, sorry for waffling on, but its just over a year since he went.............

letting off the lead.

we just tried him in large open spaces when there were no other dogs around, and ran with him a lot, then we would take him through the woods, windy trails, but he would never go round the corner, he was always keeping us in sight, i used to take him out to the beach at night, i trained to watch for my torch, when i flashed it twice he came back. he was just really loyal and protective, so didnt like not being able to see us. i hope this helps.:jump:
