i I have never done anything like this before so here goes I am the very prood owner of a 2 year old deaf boxer mascie I had never had a boxer before her and I am amazed at how stunning the breed is but at the moment she is not liking the husband he works away and when he returns home she barks all the time she used to be his babe and he is quite upset at losing the love off his life can anyone help our little muppet is asleep on the couch after a long walk and a upset with next door cat. muppet ment in a very loving way but she is not affended she is far to spoilt hope to here from someone soon oh she wont let said husband go in the garden!!!

Hello and
 It sounds like Mascie is having problems with your husband being away for periods of time and then returning. Has he always worked away from home for periods, or is this a new thing? When your husband comes home, I am assuming that you and him are cuddling etc to greet each other. When he is away - does Mascie spend time on the sofa and in bed with you? It could just be a simple thing of jealousy. If Mascie is deaf then she is relying on you and there could be a strong bond - she will see your husband as an intruder on that relationship. If you do let Mascie sleep on your bed or cuddle on the sofa with you while hubby is away, I would suggest you cut down on that, especially just before he comes home. You need to separate her from yourself slightly so that she is not as jealous of your husband when he comes home. When my husband has been away for a while. He comes home and says hello to everyone else and then finally the dogs. As soon as he does that and sits down, Sasha brings a toy to play tuggies with! Hope this is of some help

Wow when I read back what I wrote u must forgive the spelling and the lack of photos we have only been on the internet for a week, thanks to your wonderful advice Macsie( ie the muppet) is up for a change of life and with a bit of luck we might love her more if thats possible we have had a hard time withour dog but with hard work and a bit of luck we might do her some good thanks for giving us the number I ran straight away wow how amazing I wish I had been in contact straight away, the couple who sold us muppet were crap and should be banned from breeding but two years down the line we can become great dog owners and its all thanks to you and some hard work from us I hope we can keep in touch and I will keep u up to date on our babe (well behaved I hope) by the way I logged in as Kymie she is my daughter I am Karen the said husband is Craig and we have a son Jack we live in Carlisle with many thanks and hopefully a picture soon We say bye

Oooh Hello "Kymie". Im Liz and also live in Carlisle!!!! Were in Currock and We are owned by a rescue boxer called Heskey who came to us through boxer welfare following the death of Jake our white boxer. Chaos's mum also lives in Carlisle, and he to came through boxer welfare.

Wow! we live in Currock, Robinson Avenue (ie the road leading from the Currock pub) I cant believe I have never met you we would love some advice you are welcome down anytime muppet loves to play and ,we can go for walks again we tryed her harness today she is most upset with it but we will get there " Karen,Craig, kymberly & Jackxx

Were on Blackwell Road, next door to the Wendy House nursery, and spend the "odd" night in the currock. Heskey takes us up the big field by the railway track everyday so hopefully will meet you there! I work shifts so you will have to let me know when you are free! Look forward to meeting you....

no problem will catch up with you soon jack walked muppet for the first time yesterday and kymberly this afternoon had a worrying meeting with a doberman but otherwise things are great on the training front we spoke to shelia again last night and she seems to be chuffed things are going so well we have even stopped the barking well untill today when she went a bit daft the only thing is people seem more scared of us know we are using the halti but at least the move for us instead of the other way around Mascie had a good play with tyson our friends staffie today so she is tired and asleep on the couch kymie and jack cant wait to take her for a walk which is a good sign because normally they do anything to get out of walks because I am so stressed catch up with you soon

 hi we have not been on for while mascie (ie the muppet) has just been to the vets to the vets for a check up as she needed to be spade I didnt relise you need to wait so long after her season as we have never done it before with our lab we lost her from cancer at 14 on the 16 dec last year, the halti and training are going well but the sleeping in our bed and on the couch are still hard but she is not a stupid dog, husband is not working away as much so the barking has gone away and the garden problem  we woke up the other morning and thought our son had creeped into bed only to find a boxer chop in your face and a wagging wigit tail in your back great fun!! we also had a brill camping trip this time we met another white boxer from London we spent a night talking and comparing stories what a laugh how amazing our dogs are well thanks for helping us out just to let you know how much help its been mascie is know a muched loved muppet bye!!!! |

Daz likes to play or walk with plastic bottles too, when he gets a minute, he will chew at the cap. Once he has removed the cap, it and the bottle are discarded.

Still hoping to meet up with you soon....though i suspect we met some tme ago either outside the co-op or possibly in the Currock not long after you had got mascie.... think it was not that long after we had been taken over by Heskey...did she have a skin problem or was that someone else who lives around our way??

OH my god I think we meet at the back of the currock pub we had a chat about spots mascies not mine
yes she has had problems with her skin and often has flair ups, if it is you your dog is huge!!! mascie is very small and often gets mistaken for a pup athough she is nearly three her mum was small. We walk up and down Blackwell Rd most days on the school run have you heard of a white boxer boy who is skin and bone the lollie pop lady often asks as her friend wants to report the owner I have only seen it once and it does look poorly we got a bill of clean health after she checked out the muppet Mascies problem is down to gluten in her diet we changed her food and although she still has problems the biggest break though is the one on the base of the tail and the top of her back, we know have hair growing back and we only have two patches at its worst she had problems on her face and 5 spots on her back she has cream and tablets at one point it went in her ears but we are on the up and up know but we have had a hard time over the years she has been a challange but we hope to meet up with you soon. You can see if you go down our road she is always doing the queen of all she owns impression lying on the back of the sofa nose on the window and dog snott on the glass. I hate her skin problem it made people more scared of her we always got funny looks ans if we ever but into people I would always explain it wasnt contagous so it would have been me. We have had a learning curve over the last few years the night she nicked the chilli sauce from the dominoes pizza box was a favorite she had lumps the size of golf balls all over her lets just say the vet likes us, the make up bag and the brand new elizabeth arden lipstick and the gillete razor out the bath room we couldnt find the important bit she had xrays and then we found it under the bed she ate a packet of pills the female kind the vet couldnt stop laughing at that one the cat fight we she nearly lost her eye not funny and the day she jumped out of our sons bedroom window and went missing for two hours our next door neighbour seen the escape artist as work but we are getting there hope to meet up soon PS I look after her well although it might not sound like we do |

Yep, that was me and my not so small Heskey. Havent seen the lollpop lady as she has usually gone by the time i get there but will try and make an effort. I dont know what it is about boxers but they are little "T'leafs"!!!! Have to say i thought mascie looked fab when we met so i wouldnt worry about what other people might think. Will keep my eyes open for you
