My worst drive ever!!!!!!!

It seems to have been the weekend for horrible experiances. I'll tell you about mine.
I drove from Edinburgh to Peterhead this weekend to see Moli and Scottish Boxer. Pat and Lorraine.
The drive up was good, the roads no too busy and I got there in just over 3 hours. I had a really nice time but the following morning had a bit of a sore head. (blamed the drinking). I was a bit sick as well, which really embarraced me.
I left about 12 ish after getting a bit fresh air.
However my headache turned into a migraine, which I haven't had for years! I had to stop to be sick and my vision was going weird. I phoned home and explained what was going on. Then decided to try to sleep in the car to see if it would lift. Picture this!!! Cars and Lorries going zooming past each one shook my car (which is a 7 seater) so its solid. Me in the front, locking the doors and trying to sleep as the sun blazzed through the windows . I did manage too though, and when I woke up my head was better.
It took me over 5 hours to get home and I was totally exausted. To be honest I could have cryed:wtf:

Hope you feel better now Jacquie - I suffer from migraines myself so I know where you are coming from on this one!

I take a wonder drug (well it is for me) called Immigrain - stops all the wobbly vision stuff. Docs gave it to me - have you heard of it??

I has the injection type of it. Great if you can catch it coming on but I tend to wake up with one. I hated injecting myself though and it made my breathing a bit funny. Feeling a bit wiped out but that should go tomorrow. I normally end up with having to either go to the doc or getting him in. Pethadine works well. Touch wood dont get another for a long time! although I was on betta blockers for years to try to controll them.

That sounds awful Jacquie. I get migraines but only occasionally (cannot drive in winter if the sun is bright and low and the road is wet) I find the weird vision the worst to cope with. Hope you're soon feeling much better
