TheWhiteStuff Community Centre :: Off Boxer Chatter

Just chilling after a hectic weekend (mainly as a result of our daughters' recent 18th & 21st birthdays)

It started Friday morning when I had a interview at the school where I work, for a position working with a new child due to start school in September, so almost guaranteed work for 7 years.
After finishing work at lunchtime I had to pick Mad up from college after her last A level exam ( :cheering:

) then dash off to do some last minute shopping for Saturday. Friday afernoon Izzy & I set off to Manchester to see Boyzone (we've seen them 2 or 3 times before when she was a lot younger :love:

) The concert was fantastic, the boys are definitely improving with age :thumbs:

then we stayed at the Hilton for Ł32 (big advantage to having your eldest daughter working for Hilton!!) The best bit though was the fact that I escaped all the hoovering, tidying etc going on at home ready for the next day :veryexcited:

Saturday we had a loooong party/bbq at home for the girls' birthdays (had to wait for end of exams) we started at 3pm with the last people leaving at 1am, it was tiring but a great afternoon/evening, and the weather was kind, though mainly overcast it was warm enough to sit outside :wine:

Just the casino to go to next weeend to complete the longest birthday celebrations ever, Mad's been looking forward to being 18 so she can go to there, they have a great restaurant there so we'll have a lovely meal then hopefully not lose too much money :luck:

Ooh nearly forgot, just as we arrived in Manchester I had a call from deputy head at school to say I'd got the job :excited:
